What does the good life really mean? What do we really need to be happy?
and a moment of zen video, because we have enough quiet to share... We have set out to conduct an experiment that seeks to answer the question: what does a intelligent, professional couple really need to live a full life? How much of the limited available resources are truly necessary to live a rich, fulfilling and luxurious life? (Exploring the differences in how cultures and individuals define those terms......just sayin) How can one tread lightly on the earth, especially in this highly globalized, consumptive economic model? And, most importantly, what amazing things are regular people doing across the planet that gives us hope and inspiration to fuel our next 50 years aboard our new home, s/v Eos? How their stories have inspired our own journey to disconnect from the matrix and reconnect? Named after the Greek Goddess of the Dawn, s/v Eos represents the hope of a new day. She represents the opportunity to begin again and do better than the day before, to be open to the magic that is life, the opportunity to choose to live by your ideals and support others in the world who are your tribe. Best part is, you get to define who is in your tribe. Family by choice, we say. So who is your tribe? There is no wrong answer here, just the truth in your heart, perhaps hidden behind walls built to protect you from hate, pain and/or apathy. Do you know? Do you want to know?? Well, our tribe, found all over the world, represents all different colors, races, sexual orientations, religions and opinions. So what makes us tribe? What makes us family no matter how far away or how long it's been since we connected? Unconditional love, compassion, grace and the indomitable human spirit. A life focused on the journey, the meaning and the magic of it all, even in the most challenging of times. Inspiring in ourselves, and hopefully others, the spirit of creativity, communication, community and adaptation through everyday actions. So now, after our long overdue honeymoon, we will be writing about what we have learned over the past 20 years about this world we live in, both the world of man and the world of nature. We will discuss the clashes we see, inside ourselves and between one another, and show you some of the most amazing everyday people who are doing something about it.
